Working from naval architects, Du Toit Yacht Design's new Balance 464 hull form and structure, we took an empty cabin space and turn it into a multi-use utility space.

01 | THE BRIEF
A WORKSHOP, A OFFICE AND A CABIN IN A PINCH
We were tasked to do a workshop and office cabin fit out of the new Balance 464. The client's brief was simple, he wanted the space to be a real work shop that also acted as a office space. With the ability to do everything from sail repairs, wood working and laptop work all in the same space this design ticks all the boxes. Not only does this space shout utility but it is can also be converted to an additional sleeping quarters with our custom pipe berth solution.
02 | WHAT WE DELIVERED
FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION
Laminar Studios provided a full design cycle from the initial sketches of the space to the final technical documentations for the manufacturers.
We provided the support to do a 1:1 full scale mock up of the space to further verify the ergonomics of the space for the client, after a successful mock-up we supplied the yard with the technical document pack.
