Jay founded Laminar Studios in 2024 after a career as a delivery captain covering over 50,000 nautical miles, including five Atlantic crossings. Specialising in high performance multihulls, Jay has gained a unique insight into the ergonomics of life onboard. This directly translates into Laminar Studios design philosophies of simplistic, sustainable and ergonomic design for life on board.

Now based in the United Kingdom with a focus on innovative yacht designs, Laminar Studios designs are done by sailors, for sailors - blending hands on seamanship with design expertise.
